Murray’s draw looks pretty tough, though he did manage to avoid Tomas Berdych and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, probably the next 2 best grass court players after the top 4. He begins against Davydenko, who is now well past his best and has rarely done well at SW19. Murray could face either Ivo Karlovic or Dudi Sela in the second round, both opponents Murray should have no problems with except of course if Karlovic played 18 straight perfect service games and 3 tie-breakers of his life.

The third round stage sees his first seeded possible opponent, with another big server Kevin Anderson lurking, though it’s just as likely Murray could face Marcos Baghdatis or Grigor Dimitrov. His draw then gets really tricky with the presence of 21st seed Milos Raonic and 16th seed Marin Cilic as possible 4th round matches.

If he makes it past that, then he will likley face either Juan Martin Del Potro, Andy Roddick or David Ferrer in the quarter finals, Semi’s Nadal and final Federer or Djokovic.

Of the top 4 Roger Federer has by far the easiest quarter, it would be the biggest of upsets if he does not make the semi-finals this year. The only realistic challenge coming from John Isner as a possible quarter final opponent. The other top seeds in his quarter Janko Tipsarevic, Gilles Simon and Fernando Verdasco will just not pose a threat unless Federer plays badly.

Novak Djokovic should be clear through to the quarter finals where he could face former Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych and similarly Rafael Nadal should make through to the quarter finals with ease untill he could potentially face 5th seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
