The Comeback Continues…

Andy Murray has decided that he will continue his comeback and will compete in the Cincinnati Masters tournament this week.  His lack of confidence in using his remarkable forehand shots were obvious last week at the Montreal Masters, resulting in a disappointing defeat to qualifier Fabio Fignini, someone that he would normally have swept aside.

Murray will face Marcos Baghdatis in the first round of the Cincinnati Masters, and then if he wins will face either Tim Henman or Juan Ignacio Chela.  If he makes it to the third round he will more than likely face Roger Federer, whom he defeated at this same tournament last year.

Murray is determined to play through his problem though, stating that he will know if there’s something seriously wrong if he isn’t fine by the US Open.  The US Open begins on the 27th August.  Let’s hope Andy’s time on court helps him on his way to a swift recovery.

Andy and the rest of Team Murray are keeping an eye on his wrist injury 24/7.
