Rafael Nadal defeated Novak Djokovic in the final of the Artois Championships at Queens Club to win his first career grass court tournament. The Spaniard defeated the Djokovic in two sets 7-6 (8-6) 7-5.
This win today completes the set of titles on all outdoor surfaces, clay, grass and hard courts and brings his total career title wins to 28. The only surface he has failed to win a title on now is indoor carpet.
Nadal extended his dominance of Djokovic taking their all time record to 9-3 in Nadal’s favour, with victory going to the Spaniard in their last 3 matches.
With Wimbledon beckoning the complete dominance of Roger Federer may just be coming to an end as the Spaniard as transitioned on to grass from clay with no apparent problems.
