They are set to meet for a third time at this years Wimbledon (2013) in the semi finals and will be the biggest match of the 22 year old Janowicz burgeoning career.
Their most recent encounter was at the end of 2012 at the Paris masters event. Janowicz, a qualifier at the event stunned most of the tennis world that week as well Murray. The Polish player, ranked just 69 at the time dispatched the Scot in three sets after Murray won the first. Janowicz went on to reach the final of that event and in turn announcing himself on the ATP tour.
Janowicz has since then climbed to a career high of 22 in the world rankings and will move himself into the top 20 next week regardless of the result with Murray.
There only other match was a straight sets win for Murray in the Davis Cup in 2009 – Janowicz was just 18 at the time though.
