Murray Loses First Match in Miami

sony ericsson miamiIt’s now Andy Murray’s worst losing streak in his professional carerr as the world number suffers his fouth straight loss.

Once again Murray lost to a qualifier in straight-sets, this time it was Alex Bogomolov Jr. and the American completed theĀ  victory 6-1 7-5 in just over and hour and half.

Worryingly Murray was broken an astonishing seven times out of nine service games and in yet another straight sets loss, it means he has not even won a set of tennis since he beat Ferrer in the semi’s at the Australian Open in January.

After the match, Murray spoke to the media,

I’ve played poorly last two weeks, but I was happier with the way that I competed this week than last. Confidence could have something to do with that, In practice I have been competing well, Especially this week, chasing everything down, playing a lot of good points and feeling good, then in matches I haven’t been able to get it going at all. It’s happened to me in the past where I’ve had bad moments and I’ve come back well from them.
