Murray Brothers Rotterdam Run Ends in Semis

Rotterdam TennisAndy and Jamie won’t be adding a second ATP doubles title to their names this week. They lost 6-4 6-4 to the very good doubles team of  Jurgen Melzer and Phillipp Petzschner in Rotterdam on Saturday.

The brothers doubles run this week should help younger brother andy feel a little better after his first round exit to Marcos Baghdatis in the singles event.

Jamie Murray will add a very valuable 180 ranking points to his tally after their good run this week, which will keep him as Britain’s number 1 doubles player and push him up to the top 50 in the doubles rankings.

Murray meanwhile may have only played 6 doubles events, but the points he will earn this week will push into the worlds top 100 doubles players and Britain’s 6th highest ranking doubles player.

The brothers are set to renew their partnership in Indian Wells in March.
