Australian Open 2011 – Quarter Final Draw

6 of the top 8 seeds have progressed to the last 8 of the 2011 Australian Open. The only 2 missing are 4th seed Robin Soderling who fell to Alexandr Dolgopolov  and 8th seed Andy Roddick, who was taken out by Stanislas Wawrinka in the last round.

On Tuesday, 19th seed and former top 10 player Stanislas Wawrinka will take on fellow Swiss and world number 2 Roger Federer in the day session, whilst it’s 6th seed vs 3rd seed in the evening session as Thomas Berdych takes on 2008 winner Novak Djockovic.

Extra spice is added to the all Swiss match with Roger Federer former coach now coaching Wawrinka.

In the top half of the draw world number continues his quest for the “Rafa Slam” as he takes on 7th seed and fellow Spaniard David Ferrer. In the last match Andy Murray looks to have the easiest match on paper as he takes on world number 43  Alexandr Dolgopolov. These two matches will be played on Wednesday.
