Andy Murray’s Grand Slam career started back at Wimbledon 2005, when the then Scrawny 18 year old from Dunblane burst onto the grand slam stage. Since then he has competed in many more grand slams.
In September 2008 he recorded his best result in a major reaching the final of the US Open, he has since went on to equal that feat at the 2010 & 2011 Australian open. Will he ever go one stage further?
Most recently he produced his best ever French Open result reaching the semi final for the first time.

Although Murray has reached the final of both the Australian Open and US Open, his best match winning record is at his home grand slam, Wimbledon, where currently holds a 79.2% win record.
Murray has reached the final of a grand slam 3 times and failed on each occasion to claim a win. He is however a regular fixture in the later stages of grand slams and reached at least the quarter finals 8 times. He has lost at least twice in every round except the 2nd round were has only ever lost once, though his most exits have taken place in 4th round, were he has been elimated on 6 occassions

Its nice to note from your stats that Andy is gradually getting knocked out less and less before the semi- finals. Let’s hope that he can go on to win a Grand Slam soon, preferably at this year’s US Open.
